Jack Trice Stadium Rules

One of the location’s main priorities is guest comfort and safety. It operates clear policies on what can be brought into the venue and easy exit and entry processes. Guests are encouraged to check the website for details about upcoming events, ticketing, and guidelines.

Here’s some helpful information to know before you go:

Prohibited items 

To maintain a secure environment, the following items are not allowed inside:

  • » Coolers or containers
  • » Backpacks, fanny packs, and large purses exceeding 4.5″ x 6.5″
  • » Cameras with lenses longer than 6″
  • » Video cameras
  • » Pets (excluding service animals)
  • » Umbrellas
  • » Strollers
  • » Weapons of any kind, including concealed firearms
  • » Alcoholic beverages
  • » Outside food and beverages
  • » Beach balls and toilet tissue
  • » Artificial noisemakers.
  • » Seat cushions with backs, larger than 16″, or those with zippers, pockets, or compartments
  • » Any items deemed unsuitable by management at the point of entry

Re-entry policy

If you choose to exit during an event, you must have your ticket scanned upon exit to be eligible for re-entry. Re-entry is permitted at all gates but not before kick-off or after the start of the fourth quarter. 

Smoking policy

In compliance with the State of Iowa Smoke-Free Air Act, smoking and vaping are prohibited within MidAmerican Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium. 

Bag policy

The Jack Trice Stadium enforces a clear bag policy to enhance security measures. Permitted bags include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC totes not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″, with logos no larger than 4.5″ x 3.5″. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc or similar) and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap, are also allowed.

  • » One 20-ounce unopened or empty water bottle per person
  • » Items required for medical, family, or childcare needs
  • » Backless seat cushions smaller than 16″
  • » Blankets

Additional regulations

  • » Unauthorized solicitation, both inside and outside, is prohibited.
  • » Throwing objects onto the playing field is forbidden and punishable by state and local law.
  • » Signs, banners, placards, and leaflets are prohibited inside the stadium unless authorized in advance by the athletics department.
